We are pleased to be able to sponsor and support Oxhey Jets football club who play in the Spartan South Midlands Premier League.

The Jets, formed in 1972 originally as an under-12's team, now have both senior and youth teams, and an extensive gym and clubhouse.

The club have progressed steadily over the years, and promotion to the Spartan South Midlands Premier League in 2005 also made them eligibe to enter the F.A. Cup for the first time, one of a record entry of 674 teams.

Although Jets lost their first F.A. Cup match last year in a narrow 2-1 defeat to a strong Lowestoft side, this year's campaign got off to a winning start with a 3-0 win over Concord Rangers, followed by a 1-0 win away at Aveley FC.

Jets 2005-06 season was also highlighted by their first win over football league opposition, beating Barnet 2-1 in the Herts FA County Cup. Jets went on to the semi-finals of the competition, also beating Hemel Hempstead on the way, before losing to Bishops Stortford in extra time.

With success in the league, the club have had to move to a new ground, added seating and floodlighting and, all in all, come a long way from where it all started on Oxhey playing fields back in the early seventies.

Jets, however, are still very much a family run club with strong links to the local community. With four senior teams as well as Oxhey Jets youth, the club provide football, coaching and gym facilities for the local area.

Having finished mid table in their 1st season in the Spartan Premier League, Jets are looking to consolidate and build on their rapid progress in the league over the last few years, and hopefully have a bit more cup success on the way.
